Natural Stone Over Manufactured Stone

 When it comes to construction, stone forms the foundation of the building project. Either it’s natural stone or manufactured, both serve a great material for construction purpose. Then where’s the difference lies?

The first and basic difference lies in its formation process. Natural stone is quarried deep from the earth’s crust. It carries several rich minerals which give it a strong base. Whereas, manufactured stone is made from concrete.

Well, above is just the starting of showing the difference between both the stones. Have a look at the below-mentioned differences.

1)    Visual Appeal: 

The basic recognition of natural stone is that no two stones are alike. Nature’s stone always shows some sought of variation.

But that’s not the case with manufactured stone. No doubt that with the advancement in technology, manufactured stone mimics nature’s stone to a great extent but not exactly the same.

Moreover, cultured stone is painted to give a finite color to it. 

2)    Durability:

What should one consider while planning for a stone choice? Durability is a major concern in this regard. One cannot compromise on this factor as it’s about laying the base for a strong home.

The natural stone carries several rich minerals. These minerals form a stable base for the material. Amount of durability one can also examine from fade-resistant properties.

Natural stone does not lose its color even in the sunlight. But, manufactured stone as painted on the top, loose color with the passage of time.

3)    Applicability:

Stones play a great role in building construction. Both natural and manufactured stone offers wide applicability. Where there is a weight restriction, manufactured stone suits the best. As it does not require backing.

Talking about the natural stone, it suits everywhere. Either it’s a pool, backyard or front yard, natural stone suits the best.

Conclusion:

Both the stones are suitable in their own qualities. It is to difficult top state any of the one above the another. Still, if we talk about the longevity, the natural stone goes along with you for long.
